When a car as sophisticated as the McLaren W1 is released, there are many technical innovations to highlight. For this, McLaren wished to create "W1 - 'One Vision'", a YouTube series going behind-the-scenes with their experts to discuss what makes the W1 special.
Q3D worked alongside Northstar to assist with the production of these videos, creating a variety of CG sequences to illustrate the car in ways a camera cannot.
The style we developed for these sequences overlaid a black car with an outline shader, producing a visual reminiscent of clean technical drawings.
