To celebrate the 30th anniversary of their 24 hours of Le Mans winning debut, McLaren produced a special edition of their 750s supercar. Q3D studios had the honour of creating a series of renders of these exclusive cars in not only a studio and pit-lane environment, but also dynamic on-track shots in a realistic recreation of the iconic Circuit de la Sarthe.
The 3D scenes were modeled in Houdini combining a modular pipeline with a repurposed form of Q3D's sophisticated racetrack modelling tools, typically used for producing digital twins for F1 simulation.
During this project, we commissioned George Hulm at Natsura to create the distinctive London Plane trees on the Mulsanne Straight
